091PRO - Motion Detection (Boost Mode)

Motion Detection (Boost Mode) in the SALUS 091Pro-RF Thermostat

The SALUS 091Pro-RF thermostat has a built-in motion sensor. When turned on, it can activate Boost Mode – which means the temperature goes up automatically when someone is in the room. This function is comfortable and energy-saving, as it reacts to real conditions.

What is Boost Mode?

  • When the thermostat detects motion and eco temperature is active, it switches to comfort temperature

  • Boost is active for 1 hour

  • If motion continues – Boost renews automatically

  • If no motion – the system goes back to the AUTO (schedule) mode

How Boost Works – Examples

Type 1 Programming:

  • Schedule sets eco mode (e.g. 18°C) between 22:00 and 06:00

  • A person enters the room at 05:15

  • Motion is detected ➜ Boost starts comfort temperature (e.g. 21°C) until 06:00

  • If the person stays, Boost renews every hour

Type 2 Programming:

  • The day has 3 temperatures: 18.0°C, 20.5°C, 22.0°C

  • At 14:00, 18.0°C is active

  • Motion is detected

  • The system activates 22.0°C (highest of the day) for 1 hour

Extra Motion Detection Settings

You can also find these options in the service menu:

  • Motion Detection – Display Auto-On
➤ Turns on the screen when motion is detected (does not activate Boost)
    Shortens battery life

  • Motion Sensor Sensitivity
    ➤ Levels:

    • 1 – Low sensitivity

    • 2 – Medium (default)

    • 3 – High

Important Notes

  • Boost works only in HEAT mode

  • In COOL mode, Boost is not active

  • Requires a schedule (AUTO mode) to work

  • Boost works only in normal mode

  • Too high sensitivity may cause false triggers (for example, by pets)
