091PRO - Operation Modes

Which Mode to Choose and When?

The SALUS 091Pro-RF thermostat offers several operation modes. These modes help match heating to your lifestyle, seasons, temporary needs, or energy-saving plans. You can change the mode with one button. A special icon on the screen shows the selected mode.


1. AUTO Mode (Schedule Mode)

Icon: calendar / clock bars

  • The thermostat follows your weekly schedule automatically

  • Recommended for everyday home use

  • You can set daily programs (e.g. PROG 1 – comfort from 06:00 to 23:00)

  • Supports Comfort/Eco (Type 1) or custom schedule (Type 2)

  • Full automatic temperature control

2. MANUAL Mode (Fixed Temperature)

Icon: hand / “Hold”

  • Keeps a fixed temperature, ignores the schedule

  • Good for remote work, weekends, or holiday homes

  • Temperature does not change automatically

  • You can use Comfort/Eco (Type 1) or any value (Type 2)

  • Stays active until you change it manually

3. PARTY Mode (Guests or Events)

Icon: wine glass

  • Temporary comfort for a number of hours

  • Does not change the regular schedule

  • Good for evenings, family visits, weekends

  • Active for 1 to 9 hours

  • Returns to AUTO automatically after time ends

  • You can choose the temperature during the party

4. HOLIDAY Mode (Vacation)

Icon: airplane

  • Keeps one temperature for many days

  • Great for holidays or business trips

  • Set number of days (0–99) and temperature (default 16°C)

  • Works independently from the schedule

  • After time ends, returns to the last used mode

5. FROST PROTECTION Mode

Icon: snowflake

  • Prevents freezing by keeping the temperature low

  • Best for cabins, basements, or cold areas

  • Default temperature is 7°C (or higher if changed)

  • Ignores schedule and other modes

  • Works only in heating mode

6. TEMPORARY OVERRIDE Mode

Icon: blinking Comfort/Eco icon or temperature

  • Temporarily changes the schedule settings

  • Useful for unexpected changes (e.g. early return home)

  • Returns to the schedule at the next program time

  • Active only in AUTO mode

  • You can return to schedule early by pressing the BACK button

How to Change Modes?

  1. Press MODE / PROG# – the modes will appear (icons blink)

  2. Use ▲ / ▼ to scroll through the modes

  3. Press OK to confirm your selection
