First Startup of SALUS 091Pro-RF – Installation and Setup

The SALUS 091Pro-RF set includes a wireless thermostat (TX) and a relay receiver (RX). To make the system work correctly and safely, follow this guide for first installation and start-up.

1. What’s in the Box?

  • 091Pro-RF Wireless Thermostat (TX) – powered by 2× AA batteries
  • 091Pro-RF Receiver (RX) – powered by 230V AC
  • Mounting accessories – screws, plugs, mounting template
  • Polish manuals – full and quick version

2. Where to Mount the Thermostat (TX)?

Best location:

  • On an inside wall, about 1.5 meters from the floor
  • Away from heaters, windows, sun, kitchen appliances, or draughts
  • In a main living area – like a living room or common zone

Avoid:

  • Near windows, balcony doors, fireplaces, or kitchens
  • In technical rooms (e.g. boiler room)

Mounting steps:

  • Use the included template
  • Insert 2 AA alkaline batteries before first use

3. Where to Mount the Receiver (RX)?

Best location:

  • Near your heating device (e.g. boiler, valve, manifold)
  • Connected to 230V AC power
  • In a place with good RF signal (green LED lights up after pairing)

Avoid:

  • Near metal objects (metal boxes, pipes)
  • Behind thick concrete walls (between RX and TX)

Mounting RX:

  • Connect wires: L/N (power), COM/NO (to your device)
  • Set the switch to AUTO + ON

4. Pairing the Thermostat with the Receiver

The set is paired at the factory. You only need to pair again if:

  • One of the devices is replaced
  • The receiver has been reset

How to pair manually:

  1. Press the PAIR button on RX – green LED starts blinking
  2. On TX, press and hold OK for 5 seconds to open the service menu
  3. Go to PAIRING, select YES
  4. Wait for confirmation – RX green LED turns solid

5. Check If the System Works

After powering:

  • On RX: green LED blinks (waiting for signal), then lights solid after pairing
  • On TX: the main screen appears with temperature and icons
  • Try this:
    • Select Manual mode
    • Set a temperature higher than room temp
    • RX should click and green LED will turn ON (relay active)

6. Done – System Is Ready!

Now you can set the heating or cooling schedule:

  • Press PROG to choose the day and program (e.g. PROG 1 – comfort from 06:00 to 23:00)
  • Set your Comfort and Economy temperatures
  • Choose your preferred mode: Auto, Manual, Party, Holiday, etc.

7. Remember:

  • Batteries last about 18 months – always replace both at the same time
  • Turn on motion detection only if needed – it uses more energy
  • Cooling mode must be enabled in the service menu
