How to Re-pair the SALUS 091Pro-RF Thermostat (TX) with the RX Receiver – Step by Step

How to Re-pair the SALUS 091Pro-RF Thermostat (TX) with the RX Receiver – Step by Step

The SALUS 091Pro-RF thermostat (TX) and the RX receiver are paired at the factory. This means no setup is needed when you first start the system. But sometimes, you need to re-pair the devices – for example, after a reset, device replacement, or RF signal problems.

This article explains how to do this safely and correctly.

When should you re-pair the devices?

  • After a Factory Reset of the thermostat
  • After replacing the TX thermostat or RX receiver
  • If the thermostat doesn’t control the receiver, even with correct settings
  • If the red LED on RX blinks (no RF connection)

What is pairing?

Pairing connects the RF signal between the thermostat and the receiver.

  • After pairing, the thermostat will send signals only to its own receiver
  • The receiver ignores other devices – this makes the system safe

How to Re-pair – Step by Step

Step 1 – Set RX to Pairing Mode

  1. Make sure the receiver is ON (switches: ON + AUTO)
  2. Press and hold the PAIR button (on the side of RX) for about 3 seconds
  3. The green LED will blink – RX is ready to pair
  4. Pairing mode lasts 10 minutes – if time runs out, repeat this step

Step 2 – Enable Pairing on the Thermostat (TX)

  1. On the thermostat, press and hold OK for 5 seconds to enter the service menu
  2. Use ▲ / ▼ to scroll to PAIRING
  3. Choose “YES” and press OK to confirm
  4. The thermostat sends the pairing signal to RX

Step 3 – Check the Result

If pairing is successful:

  • The green LED on RX stops blinking and stays ON (solid)
  • The thermostat returns to the main screen

If not – repeat the process

How to Test the Connection

  1. Set the thermostat to Manual Mode
  2. Increase the temperature (e.g. to 25°C)
    1. You should hear a “click” and the green LED lights up on RX
  3. Lower the temperature
    1. The relay should turn OFF

    Common Problems and Solutions

    Problem
    Solution
RX does not enter pairing mode
Check switches – must be ON + AUTO
    RX LED keeps blinking
Make sure the thermostat sent the signal
    RX still not reacting
Do a Factory Reset on TX and RX, then retry
RX works randomly or not at all
Move the thermostat closer – RF interference possible

    Extra Tips
    • You can pair the thermostat with one RX only (1 thermostat = 1 receiver)
    • After Factory Reset, the thermostat forgets its old RF code – you must pair again
    • Do not mount RX behind metal objects – this can block the RF signal
