iT500RX Fault finding
Boilers can have a considerable delay if they have justbeen on then off and then you try to turn it on again. This could be the issueif they are testing the receiver and thermostat too quickly after each other.
there are a few possibilities which we can test for
HEATING ZONE 1
1.put the bottom switch to CH/AUX
2.put the top switch to MANUAL
3. do they get a solid BLUE light and does the Boiler come on
4.put the top switch to OFF
5. put the bottom switch to CH
6.put the top switch to MANUAL
7.do they get a solid BLUE light and does the boiler come on
8.put the top switch to OFF
9. put the bottom switch to AUX
10.put the top switch to MANUAL
11.do they get a solid BLUE light and does the boiler come on
12.put the bottom switch to CH/AUX
13.put the top switch to AUTO
14.on the physical Thermostat
15.with the Heating Zone 1 selected – the small house symbol on the left hand side
16.put the temperature up to 35’C with the UP arrow
17.and press TICK to accept
18.do they get a BLUE flashing light and does the Boiler come on within 10 minutes
19.with the Heating Zone 1 selected – the small house symbol on the left hand side
20.put the temperature down to 5’C with the DOWN arrow
21.and press TICK to accept
22.does the BLUE light go out and does the Boiler go off eventually after 3 minutes or so
HOT WATER
23.if you have Hot water shown on the Thermostat - the Tap symbol on the Right hand side
24.on the physical Thermostat
25.press and release the COG button – Bottom left hand button
26.this should select the Hot Water – the Tap symbol on the Right hand side
27.If this is displaying OFF then press the UP arrow
28.h0 displayed
29.press the UP arrow
30.h1 displayed
31.press TICK to accept
32. The TAP symbol should now have the hot water symbol underneath
33.do they get a BLUE flashing light and does the Boiler come on within 10 minutes
34.If this is displaying h1 then press the DOWN arrow
35.h1 displayed
36.press the DOWN arrow
37.h0 displayed
38.press TICK to accept
39. OFF should be displayed
40.does the BLUE light go out and does the Boiler go off eventually after 3 minutes or so
HEATING ZONE 2
41.if you have a second Heating Zone shown on the Thermostat- the small house symbol on the right hand side with the number 2 in it
42.on the physical Thermostat
43.press and release the COG button – Bottom left hand button
44.this should select Heating Zone 2 – the small house symbol on the right hand side with the number 2 in it
45.put the temperature up to 35’C with the UP arrow
46.and press TICK to accept
47.do they get a BLUE flashing light and does the Boiler come on within 10 minutes
48.with the Heating Zone 1 selected – the small house symbol on the left hand side
49.put the temperature down to 5’C with the DOWN arrow
50.and press TICK to accept
51.does the BLUE light go out and does the Boiler go off eventually after 3 minutes or so
