What is iT600 and Zigbee 3.0 (ZB3)?

What is iT600?
iT600 is a wireless communication protocol, not a device or thermostat. It is not a direct replacement for older products such as the iT500. iT600 refers to the communication technology used by a range of SALUS devices.
When referring to an “iT600 device”, it can be any of the following:

What is Zigbee 3.0 (ZB3)?
Zigbee 3.0 (also referred to as ZB3) is a newer wireless communication protocol that is replacing the iT600 protocol. Like iT600, ZB3 is not a single device but a communication standard used across multiple SALUS products.

Are iT600 and ZB3 compatible?
ZB3 is backwards compatible with some iT600 devices. The following iT600 devices also work with the ZB3 protocol:
