What is iT600 and Zigbee 3.0 (ZB3)?

What is iT600?

iT600 is a wireless communication protocol, not a device or thermostat. It is not a direct replacement for older products such as the iT500. iT600 refers to the communication technology used by a range of SALUS devices.

When referring to an “iT600 device”, it can be any of the following:

Thermostats:

  • VS10RF, VS20RF, VS30RF
  • TS600
  • SQ610, SQ610RF
  • HTR-RF(20), HTRS-RF(30), HTRP-RF(50)
  • FC600
  • iT700 / iT700TX

Wiring Centres:

  • KL08RF, KL04RF

Receivers:

  • RX10RF

Smart Plugs:

  • SP600, SPE600

Relays:

  • RS600, SR600

TRVs:

  • TRV10RFM, TRV28RFM, TRVRAM

Signal Boosters / Repeaters:

  • RE10RF, RE600

What is Zigbee 3.0 (ZB3)?

Zigbee 3.0 (also referred to as ZB3) is a newer wireless communication protocol that is replacing the iT600 protocol. Like iT600, ZB3 is not a single device but a communication standard used across multiple SALUS products.

ZB3 devices include:

Thermostats:

  • EL600T / EL600F
  • iT800 / iT800TX

TRVs:

  • TRV3RF

Gateways / Hubs:

  • UG800, WZ600

Wiring Centres:

  • CB12RF

Receivers:

  • RX30RF

Are iT600 and ZB3 compatible?

ZB3 is backwards compatible with some iT600 devices. The following iT600 devices also work with the ZB3 protocol: 

Thermostats:

  • SQ610, SQ610RF, TS600, FC600, iT700 / iT700TX

Smart Plugs:

  • SP600, SPE600, SX885ZB

Relays:

  • RS600, SR600

Dimmer Switches:

  • DI600

Gateway / Hubs:

  • UG600, UGE600

Sensors:

  • PS600, WLS600, MS600, MS610

Smart Button:

  • SB600

Energy Meters:

  • ECM600


Note about model variations

Any models with an additional letter refer to unit colour:

  • W = White (e.g., VS10WRF is a white VS10RF)
  • B = Black (e.g., VS10BRF is a black VS10RF)
  • WB = White outer box (e.g., SQ610WB is an SQ610 in a white box)
