IT700 - Q&A

Question: How is the IT700 thermostat connected to the boiler?
Answer: The IT700 thermostat (specifically the IT700TX model) does not connect directly to the boiler. The physical connection is made through the IT700RX receiver (WZ600), which is included in the set. This receiver is installed near the boiler and connected to its control terminals.

Question: What does the wiring look like?
Answer: Two wires come out of the receiver:
      - one from the COM (common) terminal,
      - one from the NO (normally open) terminal.
These two wires should be connected to the appropriate terminals on the boiler — in the case of the Buderus GB122, these are usually labeled TA (thermostat terminals). When the circuit is closed (i.e., when the thermostat calls for heat), the boiler turns on the heating.

Question: Does the thermostat require a gateway or special controller?
Answer: No — the IT700 system does not require an additional gateway. The receiver communicates wirelessly with the thermostat via Zigbee and connects to the internet via WiFi, allowing you to control the heating through the mobile app.
