No Internet Connection | Cannot Connect to UGE600 Gateway

Losing the Internet connection or not being able to connect to the UGE600 gateway is a common issue reported by both users and installers. This article offers a step- by-step guide on how to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

1. Basic Check – Power and LAN Cable
  1. Ensure your UGE600 is connected to the 5V DC adapter and an active Ethernet port on the router.
  2. LED behavior:
    1. Solid red – gateway is running locally but has no Internet access.
    2. Solid blue – gateway is connected to the Internet (ONLINE mode).
    3. Blinking red – ZigBee network open for pairing.
  3. No light at all? Check power supply, cable, and wall socket.

2. Restart the Router and Gateway
  1. Disconnect power from both the router and the gateway for 30 seconds.
  2. Turn on the router first, wait 2 minutes, then power up UGE600.
  3. Check if the LED turns blue, indicating Internet connectivity.

3. Application and Account Check
  1. Use the SALUS Smart Home App (or SALUS Premium Lite if you've migrated).
  2. Log in to your account.
  3. If the gateway was already added, it should appear automatically.
  4. Otherwise, use “Add Device” and scan again.

4. Wi-Fi Connection Issues (if using Wi-Fi)
  1. Always set up Wi-Fi after initially connecting the gateway via LAN cable.
  2. Follow on-screen steps in the app to enter Wi-Fi SSID and password.
  3. Wait 2 minutes before unplugging the LAN cable.
  4. Wired connection is more stable – Wi-Fi might be unstable in some environments.

5. Offline Mode – No Internet but Devices Work
  1. The UGE600 can operate in Offline mode without Internet.
  2. Devices remain functional.
  3. Once the Internet is available, use the app to detect the gateway and switch to Online without reconfiguration.

6. Factory Reset (LAST RESORT)

If nothing helps:

  • Press and hold the button on the gateway for 15 seconds.
  • The LED will turn solid red = factory reset complete.
  • All settings and paired devices will be erased.
  • Add the gateway and devices again from scratch.
