No Power on SALUS KL06 Wiring Center – Causes, Diagnostics, Solutions

The KL06 230V wiring center is designed to manage SALUS heating systems. It supports up to 6 zones and can work with actuators and pump/boiler modules. If the unit does not show any power indicators (no green "Power" LED), a structured diagnosis should be performed.

Reported Symptom:
  • The green power LED is off.

  • Fuse and 230V power supply have been confirmed as functional.

Possible Causes & Solutions (Simulated Fault Scenarios):

1. No Power reaching the L/N terminals
  • Check voltage directly at the L/N terminals of the KL06 using a multimeter.

  • Faulty wiring or power source may be the cause.

Solution:
  1. Try another power cable or power outlet.
  2. Confirm that 230V AC is present between L and N terminals.

2. Loose Internal wiring or disconnection.
  1. Internal wires may be loose or improperly clamped during installation.

Solution:

  • Disconnect power.

  • Remove the top cover and check for loose or damaged wires inside.

  • Ensure all terminal screws are tight and wires are properly inserted.

3. Blown fuse despite looking intact
  1. The T2A fuse (5x20mm slow-blow) may appear okay but still be internally damaged.
Solution:
  1. Replace the fuse with a new T2A (5x20mm, slow-blow type) – only with power disconnected.

4. Damaged LED or internal power circuit
  1. If everything else is functional, the LED itself or the power board may be faulty.
Solution:
  1. Contact SALUS support or replace the wiring center if confirmed internally damaged.

Power Check Procedure ( Step by Step ):

StepActionExpected Result
1.Measure voltage at L/N terminals230V AC present
2.Check the T2A fuseReplace it even if it looks intact
3.Open cover and inspect wiringWires are tight and properly connected
4.Reconnect powerGreen "Power" LED should light up

Common Installation Mistakes (Fault Simulations)

SymptomPossible Cause
Suggested Fix
No power at allNo voltage, blown fuse, loose L/N connectionVerify voltage, replace fuse
Power LED off, system worksBurnt LED but device still operates
Confirm with actuator/thermostat response
Some zones not workingIncorrect wiring or overloading zone outputCheck zone load and wiring
Actuators not respondingKL06 working but not sending output to actuatorsOutput failure – possible short or overload

Emergency Test - Basic KL06 Function Check
  1. Connect only the 230V L/N power supply.

  2. Connect one 230V thermostat (e.g. SQ610) to zone 1.

  3. Connect one actuator (e.g. T30NC) to zone 1.

  4. Power on the unit – observe power LED and actuator response.
