Restart and Reset of the SALUS SQ610RF Quantum Thermostat

Restart and Reset of the SALUS SQ610RF Quantum Thermostat

The SALUS SQ610RF Quantum is a modern wireless temperature controller based on ZigBee technology, compatible with the SALUS iT600 system. If you need to restart or restore factory settings, there are several reset options available – both directly from the device and via the mobile app.

1. Soft Restart (Manual Reboot)

Purpose: Quickly reboot the device without deleting settings or unpairing.

How to perform:

  1. Press and hold the OK button for 6 seconds.

  2. The thermostat will shut down (enter Sleep Mode).

  3. To power it back on – press and hold OK for 6 seconds again.

Effect: The thermostat restarts with all configurations and device pairings retained.

2. User Settings Reset ( Soft Reset )

Purpose: Resets user settings like schedules, names, and temperature presets – without removing the device from the ZigBee network.

How to perform:

  1. Open the SALUS SmartHome app and go to your device settings.

  2. Navigate to “User Settings”.

  3. Select “Reset User Settings” and confirm.

Effect: Restores default temperatures, schedules, and names. Device remains paired with the ZigBee network.

3. ZigBee Unpairing (Network Reset Only)

Purpose: Unlinks the thermostat from the current ZigBee gateway or coordinator but retains local settings.

How to perform:

  1. In the app, open the SQ610RF Quantum interface.

  2. Scroll down and tap “Remove SQ610RF Quantum”.

  3. Confirm the action.

Effect: The thermostat is removed from the ZigBee network and disappears from the app. Its local settings are preserved.

4. Full Factory Reset (Hard Reset)

Purpose: Completely restores factory settings – deletes all user data, pairings, schedules, PINs, etc.

Two methods:

a) From the mobile app:

  1. Go to Device Settings in the app.

  2. Scroll down and select “Factory Reset”.

  3. Confirm with “YES”.

b) From the device menu:

  1. Enter the Installer Menu (Menu → press and hold for 3 seconds).

  2. Select “Factory Reset” from the list.

  3. Confirm the action.

Effect: The thermostat will be fully reset. It must be re-paired and configured from scratch.

Additional Notes;
  • After a factory reset, if the device still appears in the app, remove it manually (the tile will turn grey).

  • PIN codes and button lockouts are also cleared during a factory reset.

  • During ZigBee pairing, pressing and holding the OK button for 3 seconds resets the pairing process only.
