RT520RF - Holiday Mode

Description :


If you are going away or want to turn your heating “off” for a short period of time , ( up to 31 days) you can use the Holiday Mode function. Frost Protection will be activated when in Holiday Mode.


  Procedure :

  1. Press one of the buttons to ‘wake’ the thermostat. 

The screen will illuminate.


  1. Press the COG  button (first of the buttons from the left) – SCHEDULE will be displayed.


  1. Using the arrow buttons  scroll to HOLIDAY, and press TICK to enter the settings.


You will now be required to enter the start date and time of your holiday period.

  1. You will see the year flashing.  

Using the ARROW  buttons select the year required and then press Tick to confirm.


  1. You will now see the month flashing.  

Using the ARROW  buttons, select the month required and then press Tick to confirm.


  1. You will now see the day flashing.  

Using the ARROW  buttons, select the day required and then press Tick to confirm.


  1. You will now see Time, and the hour flashing. Using the Arrow  buttons select the time required, hours and then minutes. Pressing Tick to confirm between each.                  

 Having set the start of your holiday, you are now required   to set the Date and Time of the end of your Holiday period. 

  1. You will see the year flashing again. As the maximum holiday period you can set is 31 days, you will only be able to change the year if your holiday period starts in December.                      

Use the Arrow  buttons to change the year and press Tick  to confirm.

  1. The month will now be flashing. Using the Arrow  buttons select the month required and then press Tick  to confirm. 

      You will only be able to select the same or following month   from your start date.

  1. When setting the End Day, you will only be allowed to select a date within 31 days of your start date. Therefore, you will find the day selection will be restricted. 

Use the Arrow  buttons to select the date required, and thepress Tick to confirm.

  1. You will now see Time, and the hour flashing.  

Using the Arrow  buttons select the time required, hours and then minutes. Pressing Tick to confirm between each.

Again, you will notice your selection is restricted.

  1. Frost Temperature is now flashing. Using the Arrow  buttons select your required Frost Temperature or minimum temperature that you want your home to be maintained at while you are away. You can set this between the range of 5 and 17 degrees. 

         Press the Tick  button to confirm.

  1. An Aeroplane icon will appear on the screen to show your thermostat is now in Holiday Mode.

  1. To Disable the Holiday Mode, simply press any button to wake your thermostat and ‘STOP HOLIDAY’ will start flashing.


Press the TICK button to cancel your holiday period.
