RT520RF - Pairing with the RXRT520 Receiver

 RT520RF : Pairing with the RXRT520 Receiver  (2.1.1) .

Description :

Pairing establishes a communications link between your Thermostat and the Receiver. If your thermostat is failing to control your boiler then your devices probably need pairing.

Pairing Procedure :           Please ensure the Thermostat and Receiver are more than 1 metre apart during this process.

  1. Turn the boiler off at the mains power source, this is usually a fused switch near your boiler.

Note: Make sure the lights on your receiver have gone off.

  1. Now on your receiver, quickly switch the On/Off switch OFF and then back ON.

The upper red light on your receiver should now be flashing.

If the red light is not flashing please repeat this step.

  1. Press one of the buttons to ‘wake’ the thermostat. The screen will illuminate.

  1. Press the COG  button (first of the buttons from the left) – SCHEDULE will be displayed.

  1. Using the Arrow buttons , scroll until PAIRING is displayed,  and press tick to enter the settings.

  1. Using the Arrow buttons  again, scroll until PAIR is displayed,  and press tick to enter

  1. PAIRING will be displayed again with a ten minute counter on the screen and a small flashing WiFi symbol on the right of the screen.

Your thermostat is now attempting to Pair to your Receiver.

  1. The two devices will now try to pair, and the top receiver light should stop flashing and turn solid red.

  1. Once the devices have successfully paired, the display will automatically return to the time and temperature screen.

  1. To test the pairing process has worked, turn the temperature on your thermostat above the current room temperature so that your thermostat is calling for heat so displaying a flame icon, as shown in the image.

  1. The receiver should click as the relay turns on. The lower green led should light and your boiler should now start to run.

If  your receiver does not have a green light please repeat the pairing process.

If your Thermostat is calling for heat (flame icon on screen) and your receiver has switched the green light on, but your boiler has not fired up then you will need the assistance of a heating engineer as the fault looks like it may be to do with another device in your system (ie. control valve or wiring fault etc).
