Checking Signal Strength in Smart home

Checking Signal Strength in Smart home

Checking signal strength in your Smart home setup

Signal strength (quality) is expressed in decibels (db). Compare the value with the table below:

-50db to 0db - very good signal

-75db to -50db - good signal

-85db to -75db - weak signal

-95db to -85db - very weak signal, wireless connection almost impossible

NOTE: Each device in the Smart Home system that is mains powered at 230VAC functions as a signal repeater for the ZigBee network. If the system is based on battery powered devices, it may be necessary to use repeaters such as the Salus RE600, Salus SP600 or any other Salus Smart Home series device that is mains powered at 230VAC.

To check the signal strength, follow the steps below:

1. Tap the cog icon to the right of the background image.

2. Select the "Scan my home" option

3. Here you can check the quality level of the wireless signal transmitted to your devices.

Note:

While grey it displays a static value, of the signal strength, read when scan was performed.

You can click on it to turn it blue (active), while blue it will display the current active reading of the signal strength.
