UGE600 – Green light not going Blue
When you are sure the UGE600 is not blocked in the router from accessing the internet and you are still experiencing a constant green light, this means the gateway has an old firmware that is not compatible with our current cloud network, and it will not be found by the app in your online account until it is updated.
Leaving it connected for 24 hours will auto-update the firmware, confirmed by a constant blue light. You can speed this up (or fix a failed auto-update) by updating the UGE600 manually.
Connect your phone to the same local network (router) as the UGE600 – Wi-Fi repeater / signal-booster networks will not work – and disable any VPN on your device for now:
- Open the app (or log out to reach the Sign-in screen) and choose Local Wi-Fi mode. The app will search for local gateways on the same network as the phone.
- Select your UGE600 from the list. To confirm it, enter the EUID number from the label under the gateway (or scan it from the QR code in the top-left corner).
- Once found, the UGE600 appears on the app dashboard. Tap the cog icon in the upper-right corner of the background image and choose “Scan my home”. Any outstanding updates will be listed.
- The blue updates must be done before the final green security update. Click only one update at a time, then wait for the data to download, unpack and install before starting the next.
- Once complete, run “Scan my home” again and install the second blue update; then, when that is complete, run it again and install the final green cloud (Security) update.
- Only when all three are complete will the LED become blue – you can then follow the usual instructions to add the gateway to your own account.
