We are due to launch a range of products which use a newer version of Zigbee, known as Zigbee 3.0.  These products include the new “Superquiet” TRV, “Elypso” twin channel thermostat and RX30RF twin channel receiver.  We also have a new 12 zone wiring centre, the CB12RF, which may operate on either Zigbee 3.0 or IT600 protocol. 

These products have been designed to be “backwards compatible” with our smart home products though there are some limitations.  Permitted product combinations may be:

SQ610RF + MINI TRV + RX10RF or RX30RF (use either receiver)

SQ610RF + TRV3RF + RX10RF or RX30RF

SQ610RF + KL08RF + RX10RF or RX30RF

SQ610RF + CB12RF in IT600 mode* + RX10RF

SQ610RF + SR600 may continue to be used without either the RX10RF or the RX30RF

EL600T + MINI TRV + RX10RF or RX30RF

EL600T + TRV3RF + RX30RF (only)

EL600T + KL08RF + RX10RF or RX30RF

EL600T + CB12RF in Zigbee 3.0 mode* + RX30RF (only)

EL600T + CB12RF in iT600 mode* + RX10RF or RX30RF

EL600T + SR600 (modification to the app requested for direct pairing of HW relay)

TRV3RF + RX30RF (up to 16 TRV3RF may be used without any thermostats)

So based on the above information, when;

EL600T is paired with TRV3RF, use RX30RF receiver (RX10RF will not work)

EL600T is paired with CB12RF* in ZB3 mode, use RX30RF (RX10RF will not work)

To be sure;

When there are only iT600 devices in the system (e.g. SQ610RF, MINI TRV, KL08RF, CB12RF in IT600 mode) continue to purchase RX10RF. 

If there are Zigbee 3.0 devices in the system, e.g. EL600T thermostat, purchase the RX30RF

*The new CB12RF wiring centre may be used in either Zigbee 3.0 or IT600 mode depending on jumper selection.  i.e if used in Zigbee 3.0 mode, pair with EL600T Elypso thermostat and if used in IT600 mode, pair with SQ610RF etc.
