My receiver has a flashing red light, what does this mean ?
A flashing red light on the receiver means the Receiver and Thermostat have lost their communications link and the devices need pairing.
I have a blank screen / no display and new batteries do not bring the screen back on ?
If the batteries are not changed with the correct procedure (ie. allowing time for the internal capacitors to fully discharge before the new batteries are fitted) or before the batteries become totally drained, the thermostat can go into a locked / suspended state and appear to not work. Your thermostat is not broken, but you need to click on the link below and follow the procedure :
Why does my screen show 5’C and not let me increase the temperature ?
This is because your Thermostat is in Frost Protection Mode. Simply Press the Frost Button to exit Frost Protection Mode and then you will be able to change the temperature.
How do I open the batteries cover on an RT310RF thermostat?
On the RT310TX you slide the front cover downwards till it comes off revealing the batteries, midway you might will feel a slight resistance that you need to power through.
How long does it take before the RT310RF thermostat goes into Sleep mode?
The RT310RF does not go to sleep mode by itself. The back light goes off around the 10 second mark. You can put the device to sleep mode manually, use any key to light the screen and then hold the Up and Down keys together for around 5 seconds, till the screen turns off - sleep mode.
On my RT310RF my good alkaline batteries are depleting fast, leaving them out for multiple minutes does not solve it?
If the RT310RF is draining batteries fast and resetting the unit by leaving the batteries out for 10 minutes does not solve it then the unit has a fault and needs replacing. If still in warranty, contact your merchant or Salus tech support for warranty claim.
Should I put my RT310RF receiver thing on Manual
or Auto and what is the difference?
In normal operation the receiver switch
should be in Auto position.
In Auto position receiver listens to the
thermostat instructions, in normal operations.
In Manual position receiver ignores
thermostat and calls for heat continuously, put receiver in Manual mode only
when the thermostat has failed and you need heating, while you sort out the
thermostat.
How do I set up my RT310TX on my phone or app?
The RT310TX is not an app controllable device, it is a simple up/down standalone unit.
The RT310iTX supports app control via the RT310i app only.
How do I set a timer for my RT310RF thermostat?
The RT310TX is a non-programmable thermostat, it is a simple up and down unit.
